Mr. Sk. Ashfaqur Rahman
Mr. Sk. Ashfaqur Rahman hailing from
Satkhira did his LL.B (Honors) and LL.M in the University of Rajshahi and then joined
Bangladesh Judicial Service through 18 BCS on 24th June, 1998. He was
promoted to District Judge in May,2018 and in course of time has gained a vast
experience of judicial works as judge in different tiers and places at the
field level. He had also the chance to serve as Controller of Examination,
Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission for little more than three years. He
participated in a significant number of trainings, seminars and workshop at
home and abroad glowingly. He completed a short course through “Capacity
Building of Law and Justice Division for Strengthening Subordinate Judiciary
Management” held from 15 April to 12 May,2018 at Western Sydney University in
Australia. He participated in UNODC Regional Workshop for Anti-corruption
authorities in Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal and Thailand held from 24 to 26
September 2018 in Bangkok on “International Co-operation in Criminal and
Financial Investigations of Corruption Crimes and Links to Money Laundering.”
Synchronically he has been fostering
a career of teaching as a guest lecturer in several private universities in
Sylhet and Chattogram for almost a decade. Prior to
assumption of the present office he was posted as Metropolitan Sessions Judge,
Chattogram.
