Mr Justice Khondker Musa Khaled, former Judge of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh has assumed the position of the Director General of Judicial Administration Training Institute on 20 May, 2013.

His Lordship obtained his M.A., LL.B. degrees from the University of Dhaka. He joined as an Advocate in the Dhaka District Court in 1969. However, on 1 November, 1971, he joined the Judicial Service as a Munsif. After holding various important positions, he was promoted to the post of District and Sessions Judge and joined at Joypurhat district on 1 February, 1989.

Mr Justice Khondker Musa Khaled had a diverse career in the subordinate judiciary. Not only was His Lordship a brilliant judicial officer, he also was a dynamic administrator. He held key positions like the Deputy Secretary (administration) of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, District and Sessions Judge in three districts, Chairman of Court of Settlement, Member of Administrative Tribunal and Solicitor (Joint Secretary) of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.

He has also performed special assignments where he was appointed as a one-member inquiry commission by the Government to investigate an incident at Rajshahi University Campus in 1990 and also to investigate an incident leading to the death of a person and injury to several others in Satkhira in 1998.

After years of his distinguished career in the subordinate judiciary, His Lordship was elevated as an Additional Judge of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh in 2001 and was appointed as a Judge of the same Division in 2003.

Continuing his brilliant career as a Judge of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, His Lordship made his position remarkable in the highest judiciary of the country by handing down several landmark judgments. He has a stellar reputation within the legal community of the country. His contribution to the subordinate judiciary as well as higher judiciary is mentionable and well regarded. Before, joining the Judicial Administration Training Institute as the Director General, he also was a highly valued Resource Person at this Institute.

During his long and eventful career, His Lordship has attended many international training programs and conferences held in Thailand, Hong Kong, USA and His Lordship has visited many countries including Saudi Arabia, India, Pakistan, Malaysia and Singapore.
