Ms. Nusrat Sharmin
Ms. Nusrat Sharmin serves as a Senior Assistant Judge and the
Research Officer for Research and Publication at the Judicial Administration
Training Institute (JATI). She has been a member of the Bangladesh Judicial
Service since 2015.
Ms. Nusrat Sharmin obtained her LL. B (Honours) from the BRAC
University and her LL.M from the University of Melbourne, both with higher
distinctions. She was a recipient of the Australia Awards Scholarship. Her
specialisation was in Health and Medical Law. Apart from her specialisation,
she has an interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution which she developed and manoeuvred
at the time of working as a District Legal Aid Officer in Brahmanbaria. She also
possesses experience in several roles as a Judge, such as Assistant Judge of
Civil Courts, and Senior Judicial Magistrate in the District Magistracy. She
has attended many trainings at home and abroad including the foreign training
conducted by the National Judicial Academy Bhopal.
